So…. for as long as I could remember, I have absolutely hated my natural hair. I started learning how to straighten my hair when I caught my sister ironing her hair…yeah, you read right…. my sister was ironing her hair (DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME Continue reading ““Kinda Natural” Beachy Waves”

I adore early mornings! To be able to slowly sip on my coffee in silence; knowing the world is still sleeping brings a lot of peace and serenity to the start of my day. I try to make time for myself before I head to work and the reason for this is because I rarely have a good day when I’ve rushed to work, with no time for myself, coffee or breakfast, but the reality is, sometimes I stay up till the early mornings pondering about my life and what is to come that 11 o’clock easily turns into 3 AM… and lets be honest here, I would much rather take an extra hour of sleep than have one of my typical mornings after a night of very little sleep. For those days, I always like having some homemade bars

Happy December Friends!
I fell in love with wide brimmed hats years ago (as you can see in my previous posts where they make an appearance in almost every outfit post), but the whole long trench was a new trend I tried out this year and fell in love with. It’s crazy what accessories can do to an outfit. I’ve been obsessed with this hat for a YEARS and pair it with anything I can. Even those lazy days when your hair is just not working out and you need to run out the door! I just throw on this beauty and believe it or not I actually look decent enough to present myself to the public! Continue reading “Burnt Orange”
Happy almost weekend! I find Thursdays almost as wonderful and blissful as Fridays, a little bit of a tease she is, but being close to the weekend makes me hopeful and sane a teeny bit longer. With chilly mornings on the way, it is imperative that my outfits throughout the week, keep me as toasty and as comfortable as possible! This might not be the case all the time, as the fashionista in me occasionally chooses fashion over warmth, but I’m slowly seeing that change the older I get. Warm Shagee= Happy Shagee (I’m not the most pleasant person to be around when I’m cold).

I personally find anything wrapped in rice paper rolls quite amazing (especially when you pair it with a spicy peanut sauce), but you have to give this tofu mint one a try friends. I make a mean muggin’ seasoned shrimp one too (which I will post one of these days for ya’ll) but till then, these tofu mint rolls will make your tastebuds make a run for their money! If you want to find out how to make these rolls, Continue reading “Tofu Mint Rice Paper Rolls”
FOOD, FRIENDS & FAMILY, my most favourite things in the world (alongside a billion other things I consider my “favourites”, my best friend would say). Okay.. maybe theres a tiny bit of truth in what she says… BUT! In all fairness, these three would definitely be my most favourite haha. Along with the three F’s, a slow coffee sipping morning and a scrumptious breakfast on a Saturday brings me SO MUCH happiness guys (okay, it might be another FAV of my mine). I literally dream of Saturday mornings, no seriously. I mean Fridays are pretty fantastic but there is something so beautiful about Saturday mornings! Don’t ya’ll think? Here is one of my most made breakfast bowls, because it’s just that darn good and you NEED to try it if you’ve never had caramelized banana Oatmeal before! If you want to know how I made this sweet bowl of goodness Continue reading “Caramelized Banana Oatmeal”
